Luke Bryan shares more information about his upcoming album.
During an initial conversation on July 1 with SiriusXM HighwayBryan revealed that the project was about “halfway done”.
“I’ve probably done half the project,” Bryan said. Highway. “I’m going to spend a few more months hopefully writing more music as ‘Country On’ goes up the charts. We work hard in the studio and then [we’re] going to come in and cut a few more songs, and you know, have the option of releasing a full album,” he shared.
Bryan also said he has several songs that could work as potential future singles.
“We have several songs right now that we think can be singles for the next one. [album]. You know the way music comes out these days and everything, it’s just so different, so you know the main thing that I’m focused on is just putting out the best music I can and having fun and the rest will take care of itself,” he said.
Bryan’s current single from his next project is “Country On”. Bryan released the single on July 1 and the song became the most added song on country radio the following week with a total of 91 radio stations adding the song to their rotation, according to Country air control.
The song celebrates both Bryan’s upbringing as well as patriotism and the American Dream.
In a recent episode of superstar power hour with Katie Neal of Audacy, Bryan described exactly what drew him to the song and what it means to him.
“When you think of the term ‘Country On,’ it’s a statement that says a lot in those two words,” Bryan said. “From the first time I heard the first lyrics, ‘Hey farm boy, keep dropping that plow’, it really hit me. The song covers many aspects of country life and the country life – from hard work to the American dream, to optimism about the future of the country and how we all must “Country On” to truly be one.
“There’s patriotism in it, it’s about honoring the people who keep us free and the people who keep us safe and take care of us. I think that’s something that country music audiences always really appreciate, because there are so many people in country music who are those people.
“Then when you listen to the last chorus talk about [how] Nashville continues to elevate songwriters, and how the Nashville dream, to move to Nashville and write a song, to pursue your dreams as a songwriter, [that] is also a big part of the song,” he continued.
Bryan is currently playing on his Turn right, which ends October 28 in Jacksonville, Florida. Bryan will also play a handful of his Farm visit dates as well as six nights in Las Vegas at the Theater at Resort World.
Additionally, Jon Pardi recently revealed that Luke Bryan will be joining him as a duo for his upcoming new album.
